1911 Grips

VZ Grips has been making some of the best handgun grips you can find anywhere in the world, right here in the USA, since 2003.

Since 2003, our reputation for quality, consistency & innovation has propelled us to the top spot in the market. We are now recognized as THE go-to high-end 1911 grip manufacturer. But don’t take our word for it; consider the following list of gun manufacturers that use us for their OEM grips: Kimber, Springfield Armory, Armscor, Colt, Dan Wesson, Les Baer, Wilson Combat, Night Hawk Custom, Beretta, FN, Remington, CZ USA, Laugo Arms, Taurus, Ed Brown & Christensen Arms.

It all started with the 1911 platform, the pinnacle of semi-auto handguns and it only made sense to give this tried-and-true platform an update using the most advanced materials we could find.

The materials we use are commonly referred to as G10, Micarta, or Carbon fiber. They are all laminates that are made to our specifications; they are proprietary to VZ Grips and, most importantly, made here in the USA. These laminates are made from thermosetting resins combined with a base material of paper, cotton, glass, or carbon weave and then pressed together under extreme high pressures and heat to produce a dense homogeneous material. These laminates are nearly indestructible and overkill for our end product, but only the best will do.

We then use CNC machines to create the correct 1911 profile and apply one of our numerous proprietary textures. The end result is a truly functional, one of a kind grip for your 1911 full size or 1911 compact platform. Every texture you see on this website is designed and manufactured by VZ Grips. You may see similar products in the marketplace, but we were the first. There should be no second place when deciding to upgrade your firearm. We are the only manufacturer that can truly offer you a custom 1911 grip with numerous textures, colors, and options that combine to exceed  1 million possible configurations for your 1911 right here on this website.

We love our industry partners, and we love our customers. Feel free to give us a call or send us an email if you don’t see something on the website that fits your needs. We’ll try to accommodate you as best as possible.
