I purchased these prior to this years hunting season. I decided to use this on my 10mm that I carry every time I enter the woods. I have to say it's worked great. It actually saved me a trip back down the ladder stand one cold morning after my gun got caught on a limb. It also made me feel more comfortable tracking through the thick stuff knowing that my sidearm wasn't going anywhere. I'm also attaching one to my fishing pliers since I have already lost a set (a very expensive set) offshore. You can basically attach this leash / lanyard to just about anything you'd like to keep close to you
